Le Collectionneur
The identity for Le Collectionneur steers away from expected collection iconography, instead choosing a humble, but beautifully unexpected symbol of collecting – a magpie – to become both the logo and the directional signage throughout the interiors. In addition to six bespoke bird images, the theatre of the concept is expanded upon as the restaurant is decorated with shiny metal objects apparently ‘gathered’ by the bird to create a sculptural metal “nest” which is featured in menus. The piece de resistance however is the mismatched cutlery set on every table which adds a personal experience to the story.
