For over a hundred years the Lyons family has supplied the villagers of Knowle with the finest produce, preparing and trading in their local farm shop. With so much history, the new brand not only had to capture the family’s values, expertise and heritage, but also look premium and contemporary. The new identity keeps things fresh and has helped attract a new generation of food lovers.
A simple butcher's hook hangs at the center of the new brand, referencing the butchery lineage of the family. Paired with modern typography, colours, illustration and playful copywriting, the new brand authentically captures the traditional in an untraditional way.
We created a set of custom stamps representing the family's history, inspired by quality stamps found on cuts of meat. These are accompanied by a pattern made from 'S' hooks across the packaging, interiors, and signage, as well as characterful icons to aid navigation and categorisation on signage and the website.
